What I mean in this case is the odd trend of metalheads/hxc kids/whatever now going on crusades against "problematic" (yeah buzzword but I don't know what else to use lol) themes or other meme issues in heavy music, already seen a bunch of Twatter discourse between weird scraggly caucasoids having virtual fist fights with people about Elysia, Glassjaw, insert random slam band they heard one song of 10 years ago etc.
I feel like no one should have to explain that gore lyricism is obviously theatrical, but then the bitching I see about some random panic chord metalcore band describing how much they want to slap the shit out of their ex who killed their friend or something as a vehicle to push their "anti-misogyny revolution" or whatever the fuck they think they're doing.
It really seems like people "into" extreme music lately just don't want others to express themselves unless it fits some weird rigid moral high horse checklist? I don't get it, why do you even listen to music made by either dudes with neck tattoos, mental disorders, porn addictions, weeaboos etc only to be mouth agape that they might say something a "wittle mean
