I get that we have unfettered access to the old media and such, but I wonder what the young kids are getting from AF these days. I saw them as direct support to Shadows Fall in 2006, and they looked a bit tired then. The 'Stigma doesn't really play guitar' thing has been around for a long time. I don't get why Sick Of It All is getting so much hate in that thread; they're the more consistently good old school NYHC band, especially live.

Also, my bad on 2x posting on here, but I absolutely hate when popular people on Twitter hardcore do that big city media mogul "Twitter engagement" tweet and tack on an obviously credible legendary band as a "correct answer".
"Hey guys, what is the best Connecticut band moment? I think it's when Hatebreed released Satisfaction..."
Like fucking anybody is going to try and challenge that by pulling out The Distance or something. Come on...

I promise you that the age 40 and over oldheads do not care how many Victim In Pain lyrics you know. It's also funny how kids think that those specific NYHC bands also grant them old school NYHC powers that absolutely don't translate to beefs with more modern metalcore guys. Little dudes get a Cro-Mags shirt and still get whooped by On Broken Wings-era metalcore dudes.

The best NY bands IMO are Glassjaw, Bulldoze, EGH, BCS, Denied and 25TL. 90's Beatdown is criminally underrated.

I went to the Skourge show that was mentioned in the Shows thread, and the opening band on that covered Agnostic Front's "Crucified". We're really doing fastcore this decade.
