I thought the Carhartt beanie as a streetwear accessory was a gag at first, but so many people do that seriously now.
Posting "fits" in a proud manner is weird as shit to me in general. "Hey guys, this is my hardcore look...rate my fit" Man, you're wearing a band's t-shirt with average looking pants/shoes, that's nothing special, which is fine, because this was never a fashion exposé anyway.

Instagram/Twitter has boosted this attitude where every bit of clothing you wear has to be "cool" in some way. Goddammit, I swear that more and more ever year, I'm becoming a "We must retvrn to a better time..." guy, but for like, 2003, where you just threw on a youth large Thrice, Senses Fail or Death By Stereo shirt, the least shittiest pair of Dickies knee-length shorts or jeans from Walmart, skating shoes and a studded Hot Topic belt, and then did Jackass-style shopping cart antics with your friends until the janitor parked the floor buffer and made you leave the strip mall by threatening to call the cops from the Rite Aid office.

I don't care if it ever comes back in style, I've had the best times just feeling comfortable and being at shows, so I'll stick with that even if it makes me look like that 50 year-old myspace guy in the next decade.
As weird as the Workcore/Constructioncore thing is, it's still a step above the Dadcore thing that was big about a decade ago. I'm sorry, I just can't do flannel. That stuff's for building log cabins and cosplaying as the Brawny paper towel guy.

I saw the smalltee core and I have to mention...I never could do that size, however, in the shows thread, I talked about last being in Syracuse on New Year's Day for If Hope Dies. When they were onstage, they mentioned that they had leftover merch from their 2006 album. It was meant to be given away at their table after the show, but during their set, one of their friends just grabbed the box and threw it into the crowd from the stage. I was stoked to get a shirt, but I didn't remember it was from that era before I grabbed it, so now I have a youth large If Hope Dies shirt that I can't wear.

I mentioned missing bands that were fun a while back on here and im happy Drain and Mindforce are carrying that torch. I think one of the “positive” things from the influx of TikTok hardcore kids is that the “just have fun” mentality will be very strong and thats when hardcore is at its finest.
More beach balls, more stage dives, improve your mosh- Scott Vogel probably

Drain has it right--California hardcore songs should just be about going to the beach and beating your friends with pool noodles and boogieboards and shit.
