Well, that just makes me look super dumb, but there is a special guest slot that isn't filled yet, so we can't yet say for sure that it isn't. The Code O tour was booked since last year, 5 days before the Philly date is when they suddenly remember that they have some kind of scheduling conflict and can't do it anymore. TIHC crew gives the rest of the bill a courtesy show that same day, and the show literally disappears from the Union Transfer site; they don't even have a 'this show is now cancelled' notice on their webpage. Strange that this wouldn't be the reason with that many smoking guns.
Lots of other fun questions with this lineup.

I would go, but i saw most of these at fya this year/and or furnace fest last year, and the other half ill see at furnace fest this year. Doesent make much sense for me to go. Wish I could see ringworm, merauder, and strength for a reason. But I dont doubt those three will all end up on a future fya/furnace fest lineup anyway.

There's a lot to say here. It looks good, there are plenty of new bands getting the opportunity to kick ass onstage, but there have been concerns of how many sets you can really squeeze out of bringing back some of those NYHC bands year after year. Dude from Leeway has to be almost 60 now, I can't think of many people really dying to see H20 at this point in time, and you can see Madball, Wisdom, and All Out War at the Tsunami Fest/Holiday Jam every year, and that usually doesn't sell out the mid-size club that it's in, and Joe has a large venue to fill. I'm stoked and will be there at least through the weekend, but after 2019, a slow restart from the pandemic, and Sound & Fury being 2 weeks after this (their lineup drops at the end of this week and I'm expecting to see what's missing from here), this could be it. I feel like we're lucky to have this fest now as is.

tho ive never been to a tihc, i peeped BiL after the announcement and its so funny how many old dudes online are actually shitting on the fest saying its "never been good" which is just so entirely not true. every single year theres been at least four bands that i would love to see if given the convenience to, i've just super never been much of a fly-to-go kind of guy

So many dudes my age and up cling to being jaded and measuring everything else against stuff like Posi Numbers or seeing American Nightmare or Blacklisted in a tiny-ass room. TIHC headliners have been steadily great for the most part, and most reunions and some noteworthy upcoming bands have always put on top tier memorable sets. I've never been to a Starland TIHC, but I feel like the E-Factory is a better venue to move around in. I feel you on not being much for flying. Everybody up here flys out to FYA; I feel like the only dude who hasn't done that yet. I'm so dumb when it comes to making arrangements and being on time. I can drive to TIHC from my place and be there in about 1 1/2 hours if all else fails, and I've definitely done that a bunch in the past.

I have no idea what managerial decision kept them from being announced on the initial lineup, but here's your special guest. They rolled through Philly with Terror/Pain Of Truth, and those bands were announced right away. I feel like the fest wouldn't lose out on much if 10 deathcore adults saw them on both bills and only decided to go to one.

The only sold out day of TIHC so far, and they had to swap out Merauder for Vein in the headliner slot. I wonder what happened there? Also, they should do the shit where the band is called Merauder NYC or MerauderJorge or whatever, because it's just been Jorge and random dudes he can find to do the Master Killer songs for a long time.

merauder man had beef with the organizers for whatever reason
im only swinging by on sunday like respectfully if i paid full price for the entire fest or any one day (or any show in general) and it was section h8 co-headlining i would probably just stay home and watch a movie instead

I saw some people hint at that, but I can't imagine what specific issue would crop up right now as opposed to any other time they played. I know with some of those old hardcore dudes, it's pettiness all the way down.
I'll be there over the weekend. Sunday lineup is so damn good. I haven't seen Misery Signals in years, and I never saw them with Jesse. Thursday is always cool.

Also, Thursday doesn't have Steve on guitar, and Garrett from Texas Is The Reason is playing with them now. How long has that been a thing? Did I miss that?
